My Story
As long as I can remember I wanted to be involved in the healthcare field somehow or another. My first love has always been animals; this naturally led my first career choice as a child to be a veterinarian. After quickly realizing that I could not emotionally deal with the sadness of sick animals I turned my sights on wanting to help people. My older brother motivated me more when he became a Medical Doctor. I saw how rewarding this was for him and knew that this would be my path.

When I was about 10 years old I began to suffer from headaches and migraines almost on a daily basis. This started to not only worry me, but of course my parents as well. After trying many things, my parents decided that they would bring me to their Chiropractor. This idea was foreign to me and I didn’t quite understand how this would help me.

To this day I owe my decision to become a Chiropractor to my parents. Instead of just giving me pain pills to mask the pain of my headaches, they understood from the beginning that something was obviously causing them. Just covering up the symptoms with pills may have made me feel better, but they realized that that would not FIX my problem. After I started seeing the Chiropractor, my headaches at the end of each school day became few and far between until they just didn’t exist anymore. It may sound dramatic, but from that day
on, I knew that I would become a Chiropractor someday and help people of all ages just like that Chiropractor helped me.

My Mission
As a Doctor of Chiropractic, my mission is, first and foremost, to treat every patient I see like I would want to
be treated. I understood early on in my career that if you are going to truly help someone, you must first truly care for them and for their well being. In my office a patient is never just seen as another number and shuffled in and out like an assembly line. Sometimes to get over the edge and get better, some people just need someone to listen.

At Holzmacher Chiropractic I focus on “getting to the root of the problem and fixing it.” No matter what condition, pain or symptom you may have, they all have a cause. This may sound obvious, but all too often in today’s healthcare system we look for a quick fix to cover up our health problems instead of actually treating the cause of the problem itself. Feeling better is great, but actually getting to the root of your pain and then feeling great is the key to a healthy life. It is my mission not only to get to the root of my patients’ pain and health problems, but to also educate them about how their body works along the way. Understanding why you are in pain is a big
part of the healing process.

Sincerely,
Dr. Rodney Holzmacher
